SamplesMaker: This is a tutorial on using SamplesMaker, a program by Coincoin, who also gave us Editor42. SamplesMaker is used to create the "[mesh-name].samples" files Battlecraft needs in order to create the objectlightmaps for the ingame static objects. When you installed Battlecraft you had the option to install the samples files at the same time, and they are the ones provided by EA-Dice for the stock Battlefield 1942 static objects that come with the game. They are in the "StandardMesh folder in the games root directory. If your using any custom objests (statics) you will need to use SamplesMaker to create the samples files for them in order for Battlecraft to create their objectlightmaps.

Setting up and using Editor 42: Editor42 was created by Frederick "Coincoin" Taillon back in the early days of Battlefield 1942 before the Battlecraft editor. It has been an important tool in my Battlefield editing tool box ever since. The editor when extracted has a readme file with directions on its setup, but they are a bit vauge. This tutorial is not only meant to supplement the supplied instructions, but also to provides basic instruction on it's use. Thanks Coincoin for this great editor from the Battlefield community.
